My First Growth Chart was founded back in 2007. As an expectant mom, I was excited about decorating the new nursery for my son, and I searched high and low for just the right curso social media accents for his police themed room. Unfortunately, a lot of the nursery decor I found was just too "generic" for me -- I wanted something special that really popped!
Being a graphic artist and designer by trade, and a craft buff on in my spare time, I decided to come up with something on my own. Most of the growth charts that I had seen were made of canvas (which gets dirty) or wood (which is too heavy for a baby's room). I decided to contact an old friend in my industry who specialized in printed vinyl. I designed my very first growth chart and had my friend print it on vinyl. I finished it with some wood dowels and a cute ribbon to hang it and voila...! I had created my first growth chart. Friends and family who saw my sons growth chart loved it, and I began making charts for friends and family as gifts for showers, new babies and just because. Everyone love the fact the my growth charts were super colorful, and they were lightweight and could be cleaned with a quick wipe from a damp sponge - a must when you have sticky toddler fingers!
